Because of the high demand for nurses, LPN jobs were established to provide direct patient care and other assistance in nursing duties. There are many LPN jobs available for someone who can make the cut. Being a Licensed Practical Nurse enables a person to work on community hospitals, local health centers, nursing homes, and other medical institutions. She can also work on companies and private residences or even at military bases.

Training
It is important for an LPN aspirant to equip herself with all the fundamentals in nursing care. That is why enrolling in LPN schools is advised to acquire all the necessary skills and knowledge. Upon enrolment, a student will learn the basics in biology, anatomy and physiology. Then nursing skills, emergency care, nutrition, medical-surgical nursing, psychiatric nursing, obstetric nursing, pediatric nursing, and other nursing specializations are taught through practical classes in order for a student to be prepared for the actual patient care.
Personal Preparedness
Aside from having the essential educational background, there are two kinds of personal preparedness a person must secure to become fit on different LPN jobs. First are the physical requirements then second are the mental requirements.
Physical requirements are important since an LPN will perform bathing, clothing, lifting the patient from one area to another, and performing clerical tasks for RNS and physicians. This consists of:

LPNs also have to deal not just with the patient’s emotions but also the families affected with depression, fear, and grief. However, it is also inevitable for an LPN to deal personal issues. Aside from the ability to cope up with stress during work, an effective LPN must also know how to deal the loss of a patient, especially when she became close with.
